Re: Anime North 2015 How to improve the Kig experience.

The simplest thing to do is to call them and tell them what we plan and then ask how much. then go from there I so agree , but that's not gonna happen. A club or Corporate entity, is effectively sub letting booth space from a volunteer organization, ( Anime North) who has leased rooms from the TCC....

Re: Anime North 2015 How to improve the Kig experience.

I've actually been a desginer/participant for several "trade shows" in the TCC, as well as several other Toronto convention venues. It's not a complex process if you know what to do and who to talk to. the trick is know what to bring and how much and how to pack it so move-in and out are ...

Re: Anime North 2015 How to improve the Kig experience.

Canopies are usually allowed (at least at all the trade shows I have done) as long they do not obstruct other booths around them so choosing the location of the booth is quite important. But Booths cost money and power to the booth is almost always extra. Who is going to pay for that? The simplest ...

Anime North 2015 How to improve the Kig experience.

I have been reading the comments in the Anime North Forum, "Teahouse of the Maple Moon" concerning the problems fans found with the situation last year. Some relate to us, in that we experienced them. Or contributed to them. Most, concern the layout of the Dealer's room, how it was poorly ...

Re: An idea for face protection during off stage changes?

Hi Scath: I see where you are going with this. Now there are some zentai makers for "Halloween" like Morphsuit, which claim that you can drink and see right through the zentai, the material is that thin. Still they do advise that there is some vision impairment involved. I know from experi...

Re: New Members Introduction (Age/Location/Occupation)

Hello all. I am a new member, soon to be kig, thanks to some very skilled maskmakers. For starters, what got me introduced into kig was a woman I dated about ten years ago when I was in college. She would occasionally want to go out to a zoo or a park in her mask and suit, and have me be her handle...

Happy Canada Day

This is a shout out to the other 153 members of this forum, who have the guts to claim Canada as their home. While Many would think Canada is an ideal spot to do Kigurumi, because it's cold year round, let me state today it's 40 Celsius where I am with the Humidex. Until they come up with a Zentai m...

Re: Can someone explain the DARK SIDE of kigurumi to me

Well, First you start with Rule 34. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Rule+34 Rule 34 Generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject. But a full discussion of this should be taken to a forum that is not acces...

Re: Doing stage magic as a kig?

One aspect of your costume, which could be worked into your Close up magic act, is the fact that wearing a mask, your mouth is invisible. It should be possible for you, to hold a clear bottle of colored water in your hand, pour it into a clear glass in your other, then have the water level in the gl...

Re: Doing stage magic as a kig?

Think of it like a Masquerade competition. If you are on stage for those, you have no mike. All background music is pre recorded. You also have the announcer who introduces you. So, in your stage act, you can have canned background music during the effects. You can also pantomime and interact, with ...
