I like to draw and this is both my passion and my job (although I have been on big slumps lately).

So, I have drawn what could eventually be my kig persona.
Image

(yes, I used part of it for my avatar before posting the whole thing)

Inspired by the Maririn mask that I have. Maybe I will actually pose for a kig photo!

Thank you for telling me what you think, and if you have any ideas I could possibly draw! :)

Your drawing looks really good, yet I think I see a mistake.

The eyelashes on the right are not visible yet on the left they are. It looks kinda off since there doesn't seem to be any reason why the hair should obscure the right eyelashes. Is this done on purpose or did you make a mistake?

But like I said a minor mistake on a otherwise excellent drawing. Could you do an anime enchantres or witch? After seeing your drawing, I tried to draw my own character but I wasnt quite happy with the result.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Well, the thing is, I was thinking one set of eyelashes was in front of a hair strand, the other behind the other hair strand. Just like that.
But you're right, I guess it is unbalanced, and I should not be afraid of sticking to the old anime trope of "transparent hair strand". :D

Okay, I decided to do my own interpretation of your enchantress drawing. Just doing something sketchy...

But hey, it is a kigurumi-animegao forum! So let's kig her a bit! :)

What do you guys think? :D

You don't have to stick to the trope, just stay consistant. I just like symmetry. :) Just put them in front of the hair or behind but not both.

And I absolutly love your enchantres drawing! You don't mind if I put it in my 'ideabucket', do you? You pretty much straight made it better. I was trying to avoid the 'revealing' look because this was a character I am thinking about doing, but revealing seems to be the way to go!

And even after looking like 4-5 times, I can't find anything wrong with it. The shadows are good, the character seems to have the right measurements, everything seems right. Well, except that the kig mask has a neck for some reason. While I have never seen one in RL, I am fairly sure they don't have that. Still, I absolutly love it!!

Yes, I guess you are right. I'll make sure to keep this in mind next time! 8-)

I don't mind at all! I'd be flattered to see I influenced some of your kig decisions! :D

Thank you so much! I am glad it pleases you. :D
Well, she is an enchantress... :geek: the word does mean that this is supposed to mean an attractive, seductive femme fatale... :P
Were you thinking of a name for her?

Thank you!! I have been struggling with lighting and proportions in my drawing for some time, it is very nice to hear it seems to go well this time. :) :)
Ah yes, the kig mask having a neck... Well, because I still have in mind the typical rubber/latex/silicone realistic masks, and they usually have necks... that'd be the case for a "soft" mask and not for a kig one, I guess.

But can kig masks be soft and be latex? :ugeek:
I still love to think of anime/manga masks that can actually restitute the face expressions, like in those anime/manga where some master-of-disguise characters manage to perfectly impersonate another character...
Famously Lupin III, and others such as Kanako from Love Hina, Pupa from The Gun Spirit, Zephyrus from Swallowing The Earth...

Anyone, feel free to give me suggestions for drawings... I enjoy helping you...

The name I was thinking about is nicole, which funnily enough is an anagram of silicone.

There actually was, and might still be, a scam where a ebay seller sold cheap rubber knock-off kig masks which didn't look good at all. Maybe if someone slightly more dedicaded would make a mask I could see it work, but don't expect any facial expresions, since rubber is still very lose and won't transfer movement well at all. A good mask might transfer facial movement, but then we are talking about hollywood masks, very expensive stuff.

Well, Hollywood always cheats with the realistic latex/silicone masks, as they just switch a different actor or it's actually complex prosthetic makeup that takes hours to put on - and sometimes as long to remove.

I've gotten Greyland masks that are somewhat realistic. Since they're soft, they can transfer some movement, but it's very subtle, like big smiles that stretch the cheeks.

But with kigurumi/animegao, I guess it is expected for the masks to have still expressions. I am not sure we are getting to the point of being like RinRin's avatar. :)
